Business of Being Born in Saratoga

As part of the 1st Annual Saratoga Woman's Festival, the Business of Being Born is being shown tonight  at 6:00 PM. There will be a panel discussion afterwords (with yours truly, among others). Movie and discussion scheduled for 6:00 PM on Mon, March, 21 at the Saratoga Library. Hope to see you there!

Description  The (Local) Business of Being Born: Examining Our Past and Looking to the Future A screening of Ricki Lake's "The Business of Being Born," which examines the history of birth as well as current trends, to be followed by an open discussion led by a panel of local practitioners, mothers, and activists and sponsored by BirthNet, a grassroots organization focused on improving maternity care.

Hosted by Tisha Graham Tisha Graham is a childbirth educator and doula with over 25 years of experience supporting women and families through pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond. A Saratoga Springs resident, she is also the mother of five, a co-founder of BirthNet, and Statewide Co-ordinator of New York Friends of Midwives.
