A client and dear friend suggested that I this NPR story on Afghanistan, babies, women and midwives. What a wonderful piece of journalism, filled with information, passion and hope. Afghanistan has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the world; midwives are beginning to turn that tide in the right direction. Listen to the story.
