YWCA Donation Drive
Earlier this month Local Care Midwifery's midwife, K. Michelle Doyle, was honored in the YWCA of the Greater Capital Region's Resourceful Women's Awards in the Health and Human Services category. Coming from so many different walks of life, resources in their community in so many unique and wonderful ways, the women honored at the YWCA's Resourceful Women's luncheon this year represent the best of what a community can aspire to be. They show us what we as as a community can become when we offer what we have and find that when added together the total of our shared resources is so much greater than the sum of its parts. We are blessed and honored to have so many women in our community willing to reach out and make a difference in the lives of countless others, and are particularly blessed to find such an individual in our midwife, Michelle.
At this time of year, the YWCA sponsors the Adopt-A-Family donation drive to meet the needs of the families that whom the YMCA exists to serve this Holiday season. Local Care Midwifery is participating in this effort and welcomes any donation to help make the holidays a little bit brighter and warmer for families in the Capital District. Donations such as warm coats, toys, clothing, gently used items and cash donations are greatly appreciated at this time to make a meaningful difference to these women, children and families that are served by the YWCA.
To participate, please bring any donations to the main office at Local Care Midwifery by 12/16. Thank you in advance to all those who are able to participate!
